A particularly favorable destination in Zillertal is the Wildgerlostal River, respectively the Durlaßboden dam. The dam is approximately six kilometers long and two kilometers wide and at its lowest point of 55 meters. It is found behind a grass-covered stone dam fitted harmoniously in a multi-faced landscape and guarantees, along with the highest standing surfing and sailing school, a boat rental and a beach, a playground and restaurant, hours of entertainment for the whole family. The varied landscape of the Tyrolean Alps works especially well for extensive exploration tours, where the active vacationers encounter the rich variety of flora and fauna and other scenic highlights. In the five valleys, leaning on the nature reserve Hohe Tauern, along rushing streams, glaciers and snow fields, hiking enthusiasts can experience the highest elevated leisure enjoyment. On the edge of the routes, there are numerous pastures and huts that invite to a small break in an idyllic atmosphere.
